Memento Mori is an ongoing series that explores the transient nature of all things. The experience of death is that of a transitional moment in time, often coupled with the pain associated with knowing you can never retrieve what is now past, like someone dying or the loss of a loving relationship. In Christology, it was meant to remind medieval Christians to keep paramount the idea that they themselves will die, so they would ponder more seriously their afterlife with God. Art played a major role as the primary expression of this concept.
