Les marionnettes perdues, as they’re called, are not always small in stature, but little in experience.
Those protected from the realities of the big ones come into their own mostly happier, if only temporarily once their naivety reveals their handicaps. Once revealed, often they revert to being littles ones as young adults, which always looks quite silly. Some stay little ones forever in bigger bodies with bigger bank accounts, but naïve to themselves. Most get conditioned by the 'great machine' for normalcy.
Les marionnettes perdues have different tales. Their journeys harden their souls. Many, too many, don’t make it out of their youth. Those that do survive are unpredictable, in good ways and bad. They become angels and demons, trying get to the ‘somewhere’ that calls to them, a place with no name.
