All my photography is shot on location, not in the studio. Location shooting gives context, character and narrative to images.
As a photographer, it's a privilege, both personally and professionally, to bear witness and capture as many moments as possible through my lens. I shoot in a manner that is particular to the projects I'm commissioned for, whilst instilling my own voice in the layers, to create a unique body of images that in my hopes can transcend the ordinary.
For instance, I love shooting documentary wedding photography in gorgeous black and white to capture powerful fleeting moments. But I also love shooting colorful full-production glamorous fantasy weddings to showoff the orchestrated extravaganza. Weddings are sometimes a perfect combination of the two, and my clients can have both.
For location commercial shoots, there are finished output parameters such as web, print or packaging that also require special lighting or sets. I combine my clients needs with my creative input from decades of experience.
There are instances when a certain look is desired. Weddings can be glamorous, while other events are more sober affairs that require a conservative appeal. My experience allows me the adaptability to suit your particular needs and wishes. Discuss what the possibilities are at your consultation.
· Sony a7RIII for it's outstanding 42.4 MP high-resolution and high dynamic range full-frame sensor, 10 fps, high usable ISO to 32000, and class-leading fast and accurate auto-focus, all together producing remarkable studio image quality.
· Fuji XT-3 and XPro-2 are special cameras, like all of the Fujifilm bodies and lenses. There's some secret alchemy in them, similar to a Leica, that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. Performance Specs for the XT-3: 26 MP, X-Trans™ CMOS 4 sensor, up to 30 fps black-out free high-speed continuous shooting, and expandable ISO to 51200.
For private events, I move as inconspicuously as possible to allow my subjects a session of relaxed enjoyment that will best create natural images, whether they're posed or candid.
Weddings are particularly special. I'm more than your photographer, I'm your concierge assisting you in making your day, not only go smoothly, but be fun and magical.
All my projects are shot on location. Portraits, fashion and products need context. Weddings have their own place. All my images must interact with the real world, even if the final image transcends that reality.
Location shoots, such as Real Estate or "A Day in the Life", are smooth and effortless, but I also allow for unexpected changes that may occur, such as weather conditions.
Most commercial jobs, like fashion and editorial work, require planning to ensure efficiency to get the most of the products, sets and models.
